METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE RESULT OF INBORN HYDROCEPHALUS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G01N15/02

Abstract RU 2310826 C1

FIELD: medicine, juvenile surgery.

SUBSTANCE: one should carry out surgical biopsy of cerebral cortex in the field 40 at the border of parietal and temporal areas from the right, carry out morphometry of neurons' nuclei of the 3d layer of cerebral cortex to predict favorable result of surgical therapy according to the value of average volume of a nucleus being above 720 cu. mcm. The innovation increases the significance in predicting the result of surgical therapy of inborn hydrocephalus achieved due to morphometric study of neurons.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction.
