FIELD: medicine, neurosurgery, juvenile surgery.
SUBSTANCE: in the course of operation it is necessary to carry out biopsy of cerebral tissue in the field 40 at the border of parietal and temporal areas from the right along with microscopic inspection of the preparations. One should carry out morphometry of neurons' nuclei of the third layer of the cortex of cerebral hemispheres to determine the volume of the nucleus by the following formula: where "a" and "b" - two mutually perpendicular diameters of the nucleus, "c" - a constant value being equal to 3.14; one should calculate average volume of the nuclei. At average volume of the nuclei being 270 cu. mcm, not more one should diagnose severe degree of innate hydrocephalus.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
