FIELD: testing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises decreasing strength of one of the blades by cutting, making ports, setting the rotor in rotation up to a given speed, heating the blade up to a given temperature, breaking the blade, and assessing the strength capabilities from the traces produced by shock. The ports are made of slots. The additional slots are made above the shelf of the lock from both sides of the main slots. The additional slots are made of T-shaped members. The main slots are parallel to the axis of the blade, and additional slots are parallel to the shelf of the lock. The concentrators of stresses are located at the ends of the bottom sections of the slots. The wires of electric heating coil are wound between the main and additional slots. The device comprises rotor with blades, lock, drive with the system for control of the speed of rotation, device for measuring temperature of the heated parts of the blade composed of the temperature gages, heat receiving member, and system for measuring temperature, and device for heating the blade parts made of power source, current receiver, and electric heating coils. One of the blades is provided with cut above the shelf of the lock and the port. The wire wound between the slots defines the electric-heating coils.
EFFECT: enhanced precision and reduced labor consumptions.
