FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at testing housing of bladed machine rotors for damage containing ability and investigation of impact actions on said housings. According to proposed method, prior to testing, cross-section is weakened on one of blades of rotor which is arranged inside fixed housing. Then rotor is spinned to preset revolutions at which indicated blade breaks off and strikes against housing. Damage containing ability of housing is evaluated by traces left by said blade. Prior to testing, weakening cross cut of blade feather in near-lock part is made and paired cuts parallel to weakening cross cut are made which form zones of thermal expansion, edge and middle bridges arranged successively on cross weakened section of blade feather. Cuts are made so that blade feather section weakened by cross cut is within the limits of cut heights. Stress concentrator-cut is made on surfaces of edge and middle bridges within the limits of which weakening cross cut is made. Then heaters are installed on surfaces of zones of thermal expansion and when rotor attains preset speed, said zones are heated. Device contains rotor with blades including feather and lock arranged inside housing, drive to spin rotor and rotation control system. Weakening cross cut in near-lock zone is made in feather of blade which should break off, and paired cross cuts are made parallel to weakened cross section of blade feather which form thermal expansion zones. Heaters are installed on thermal expansion zones.

EFFECT: reduced labor input, increased reliability of results of tests.
