FIELD: processes of electric discharge treatment of surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: method and apparatus are used for forming on surface of part high-quality coating containing material of electrode or matter produced by action of electric discharge pulse energy upon material of electrode. Pulse electric discharge is created at supplying voltage equal to 500 V or exceeding it between electrode and worked part in gaseous atmosphere. Non-sintered pressed piece of powder of metal, mixture of metals or ceramic powder is used as electrode.
EFFECT: improved quality of coating.
