FIELD: procedures for working surfaces by means of electric discharge.
SUBSTANCE: electrode is in the form of non-sintered pressed piece produced by pressing in press-mold metallic powder or mixture of metallic powders. Electrode is used for working surface by electric discharge generated between electrode and blank in dielectric liquid or in air. Due to action of electric discharge power, coating of electrode material that does not form carbide before oxidation is formed on surface of blank. Electrode material includes material that does not form carbide and material that is to be melted. Diameter of particles of material that does not form carbide exceeds diameter of particles of material that is to be melted. Electrode is used in apparatus for working surface by electric discharge according to method of invention.
EFFECT: possibility for applying coating keeping strength and lubrication properties at condition of elevated temperature.
