APPARATUS FOR STATIC-PULSE BROACHING OF OPENINGS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B24B39/02

Abstract RU 2312757 C1

FIELD: manufacturing processes in machine engineering, namely apparatuses for calibrating, deforming broaching and strengthening inner metallic surfaces of openings of parts by surface plastic deforming.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes chuck where deforming tool is mounted, supporting flange for placing worked blank, hydraulic pulse generator, striker and sleeve. Hydraulic pulse generator is designed for generating cyclic pulse load. Wave-guide is in the form of stepped rod with small- and maximum-diameter steps. Striker is in the form of sleeve mounted on small-diameter step of stepped rod with possibility of lengthwise motion. Chuck is mounted on wave-guide. Sleeve and maximum-diameter step of rod have cross section of the same area for applying to deforming tool cyclic pulse load along its lengthwise axis. Relation of sleeve length to length of maximum-diameter step of rod is set to equal to 1.

EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities.
