FIELD: manufacturing processes in machine engineering, namely apparatuses for static-pulse working of screws in machine tools.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises step of mounting deforming tool onto supporting flange. Deforming tool is in the form of ring having profile of inner surface in lengthwise section corresponding to profile of recess of screw blank for providing surface plastic deforming of blank. Supporting flange is in the form of three plates: boundary stationary plate for resting supporting flange upon housing of machine tool; boundary movable plate for resting deforming tool and mean plate. Blank is gripped by means of stem and it is moved in chuck secured to wave-guide in the form of stepped rod having steps of small and large diameters. Wave-guide is imparted to cyclic pulse load along its lengthwise axis due to lengthwise motion of striker in the form of sleeve mounted on small diameter step of stepped rod. Said sleeve and large-diameter step of stepped rod have the same values of cross section surface areas. Relation of sleeve length to length of large diameter step of stepped rod is set equal to 1.
