FIELD: small-size impregnated and directly heated cathodes of microwave electronic devices.

SUBSTANCE: proposed cathode-grid assembly has circular cathode and grid secures on edge of circular holder on one end which makes it possible to compensate for temperature expansion of grid without deformation of its structure due to its easy expansion at one end. Grid components are sinusoidal in shape and are made of thin wire whose diameter is 20 to 25 μm.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability and service life of cathode-grid assembly.
