FIELD: industrial microbiology, biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves addition of microorganism suspension to a biphase system "liquid-liquid" with immiscible aqueous phases enriched with polyethylene glycol and dextran followed by its incubation. Dextran-containing and polyethylene glycol-containing phases are removed and microorganisms resistance index to cationic antibacterial peptides and serum blood is determined. Microorganisms are removed from dextran-containing phase with the resistance index 0.58-1.06. Invention provides effective and rapid removal of microorganisms possessing the enhanced resistance to cationic antibacterial peptides and serum blood. Invention can be used for selection of reference-cultures of microorganisms in aims for testing antibacterial activity of cationic antibacterial peptides isolated from different sources or synthesized de novo, and antibacterial activity of serum blood of different origin also.
EFFECT: improved method of selection.
