FIELD: the invention refers to measuring technique.

SUBSTANCE: the essence of the invention is in placing of a capacity with an investigated solution on the path of an optical beam, measuring of absorption of the radiation of the source with the investigated solution, processing of received results and computing the strength of the solution, the measurement of absorption of the source of radiation with the investigated solution and with the capacity without the solution are conducted for optical beam with the length of the wave of 660-790 nm. They measure not absolute intensities of the passed radiation, but coefficients of absorption. The measurement of absorption of radiation with the capacity without the investigated solution is conducted by turning the capacity with the solution on 180 degrees.

EFFECT: provides continuity of measuring the content of spirit in capacities (bottles) without their opening and increases accuracy of definition of quantity of spirit.
