FIELD: technology of concentration of radioactive iodine used for radio pharmaceutical preparations.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes reduction of iodine by hydrazine-hydrate to iodide-ion, sorption by weakly basic anionite followed by desorption by alkali reflux. Process is carried out in ion-exchange column whose diameter is as lesser as higher volumetric radioactivity of iodine is required. Desorption is carried out by alkali reflux of 0.04-0.1.
EFFECT: avoidance of use of concentrated alkali for desorption; increased yield of finished product at high volumetric radioactivity with no change in specific radioactivity.
