FIELD: technological processes; oil-processing industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in ion-exchange technology of iodine extraction from natural brines of oil and gas deposits and industrial solutions. Method for extraction of iodine includes oxidation of iodide-ion, sorption of produced element iodine by weakly basic anion exchange resin, desorption of iodine from anion exchange resin and extraction of crystalline iodine from strippant. Weakly basic anion exchange resin is anion exchange resin of macroporous structure with high exchange capacity that represents copolymer of sterol and divinylbenzene comprising quaternary and terriary amines as functional groups, with preferable content of tertiary amines.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of iodine extraction.
