FIELD: the invention is used in machine building particularly at renewing geometric sizes of worn out details.
SUBSTANCE: the mode includes putting on several layers of covering with a pig iron electrode. At that each layer of the covering is put on with a such thickness when no blanched layer is formed on the pig iron and after the first layer the following layers are put on after removal of the oxidized film from the surface of the put on covering with the aid of a plasma jet whose energy is regulated by changing the difference of potentials till complete removal of the oxidized film from the surface of the covering.
EFFECT: expands possibilities of putting on coverings on pig iron details.
