FIELD: metallurgy, namely processes for producing non-oriented electrical steel widely used as magnetic material of cores of large number of electric machines and apparatuses, namely in electric motors that feature low losses of magnetic system and increased magnetic permeability in all directions of strips.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing melt of non-oriented electrical steel containing next components, mass%: silicon, approximately no more than 6.5; chrome, approximately no more than 5; carbon, approximately no more than 0.05; aluminum, approximately no more 3; manganese, approximately no more 3; iron and inevitable impurities, the balance; casting strip by fast solidification of melt at forming grain structure just after casting process; rolling for decreasing thickness of cast strip and for minimizing recrystallization of grain structure just after casting process. Final strip is subjected in addition at least to one annealing procedure during which magnetic properties are provided.

EFFECT: steel strip with small losses in magnetic system and with improved magnetic permeability.
