FIELD: kitchen appliances for cutting and producing of decorative articles from vegetable and fruit.
SUBSTANCE: flat carving knife has narrow working member equipped with cutting edge and fixed by means of shank in barrel-shaped holder with metal cap. Working member is formed as equilateral triangle having thickness reducing from base to its apex. Cutting edge is formed at both sides, on both ribs of equilateral triangle, along the entire length thereof. Correct selection of predetermined parameters of knife and ratio of said parameters allows said knife to be conveniently used for cutting of vegetable and fruit in complicated patterns.
EFFECT: increased decorating effect produced due to employment of knife of such construction, enhanced reliability in operation, and reduced labor intensity needed for working with said knife.
