FIELD: carving.
SUBSTANCE: knife comprises chute-like member that is provided with a cutting edge and by means of a shank is locked in a barrel-shaped holder having metallic cap. The chute of the member is rectangular or square in cross-section and has plane base and sides. The front face of the chute is beveled at a right angle to the base and sides . The cutting edge is made at the front faces of the base and sides of the chute. The shank and back part of the base are shaped into a semicircle that goes into the plane of the chute base.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and expanded functional capabilities.
