FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when laying rail lengths continuous welded rail tracks from running platform onto rail base bringing them simultaneously into operating temperature conditions. According to proposed method, continuous longitudinal forces are applied through rail slides to unloaded rail lengths on running platform in process of moving platform from under rail lengths. Rail slides are made in form of disks fitted on axle and engaging with rail. Surface of disks follow corresponding surfaces of rail lengths. Disks are positively pressed to corresponding surfaces of rail lengths and are positively rotated to build expanding and compressing stresses in laid rail length under laying. Invention is aimed at reducing labor input owing to carrying out unloading and attachment of rail lengths on rail base at temperature of rails equal to rail length fastening temperature adopted for constant operating conditions and provision of designed values of expanding or compressing stresses corresponding to adopted temperature of rail length fastening for constant operating conditions using rail slides when rail lengths of continuous welded rail track are laid at temperatures differing from their fastening temperature for constant operating conditions.
EFFECT: reduced labor input.
