FIELD: transport engineering industry, applicable in traction electric drives of transport facilities, for example, trolleybuses, trams, underground railway and buses.
SUBSTANCE: the device has a DC motor with an armature winding and excitation winding, C-R-C filter, voltage converter and a power supply source, for example, a contact system. The voltage converter is made in the form of n electric bridge on six transistors shunted by reverse diodes. The motor armature winding is connected between the midpoints of the first two adjacent arms of the bridge, and the excitation winding-between the leads of the bridge output diagonal. The input diagonal of the mentioned electric bridge is connected to the contact system by means of a separating diode and filter elements, the first additional diode, reverse diode input and output capacitors and two transistors shunted by the respective reverse diodes. In the brake duty the filter output capacitor is connected to motor armature winding 1 by means of the ballast resistor, diode and the respective transistor fulfilling the function of an energy accumulator, and the filter resistor is connected in parallel with the output capacitor by means of the other transistor, fulfilling the function of a brake resistor at a rise of the voltage at the output capacitor to the maximum tolerable value.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
