FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the vehicles electrical traction systems. Locomotive traction electric drive comprises power supply source, voltage regulator, field attenuation regulator, traction DC motor with series excitation. Between outputs of power supply source there connected in parallel capacitor, voltage regulator and field attenuation regulator. Each of regulators accordingly consists of two series-connected transistors shunted by inverse diodes. Output of voltage regulator is connected to input of excitation winding through excitation current sensor, information output of which is connected to first input of control unit. First and second outputs of control unit respectively control voltage regulator and field attenuation control. Field attenuation control output is connected to excitation coil output connected to armature winding input, output of which is connected to one of outputs of power supply source through armature current sensor, information output of which is connected to second input of control unit.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of DC traction motor field attenuation control accuracy.
