FIELD: metallurgy; equipment for heat treatment.
SUBSTANCE: metallurgical vessel for manufacture of cast iron or steel contains a bottom part, a roof part, a side wall, and a tuyere system consisting of at least two tuyeres for feeding oxygen-containing gas inside the vessel during operation. It is designed so as to provide for forming an essentially downward flow of gaseous combustion products near the side wall, and an essentially upward flow of gaseous combustion products at the vessel centre during operation. Each tuyere has an end part for release of the oxygen-containing gas. For directing the oxygen-containing gas to the central axis of the metallurgical vessel, at least one of the tuyeres is inclined at the first acute angle to the vertical, its end part being inclined towards the central axis of the metallurgical vessel. The end part of the tuyere is designed so as to provide for the direction of the oxygen-containing gas to the central axis of the metallurgical vessel at the second acute angle relative to the vertical, the second acute angle being larger than the first acute angle.
EFFECT: creating metallurgical vessel for manufacture of cast iron or steel with enhanced performance.
