FIELD: electrical engineering; manufacture of gas-discharge lamps for general and special lighting systems. SUBSTANCE: method includes at least installation and wiring of discharge torch on assembled pin involving formation of at least two current leads for holding discharge torch on them and its fixation in external glass envelope filled with argon-nitrogen mixture with content of 10 to 16 volume percent; connection of discharge torch to mentioned current leads providing for desired mechanical strength of installation and wiring; electromechanical fixation of current limiters to discharge torch; current leads in the form of integral structure are formed upon feeding assembled pin, then the latter and discharge torch are connected to mentioned current leads, whereupon part of current leads are removed to set up power circuit for gas-discharge lamps; length of current leads being removed, argon-nitrogen mixture pressure, and potential difference across open circuits in current leads are interrelated by definite equation. EFFECT: reduced manufacturing cost of lamp. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
