FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric engineering industry, and in particular, to improvement of high pressure gas tubes. Gas tube includes burner made from optically transparent material and has baked or other electrodes, which are installed leak tightly. The said burner is placed into external glass bulb filled with at least one of inert gases and/or mixture of inert gases and connected with tube base. According to the invention, the technical result is achieved due to burner volume dependency on external bulb volume within the limits from 8.16×10-3 to 25.2×10-3, while pressures dependency of at least one inert gas and/or inert gas mixture in kPa on gas tube power in kWt is within the limits from 25.7 to 280.0 kPa/kWt.
EFFECT: reduced prime cost of gas tube manufacture.
