FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: cytological and cytochemical analysis is carried out. Thereby 3 specimens of tumour trepan-biopsy are analysed, and cell structure of the first specimen is coloured with mixed azure-eosine, of the second specimen - with alcian blue, and the third specimen - sudan III. Within microscopical analysis the first specimen is tested for malignant cells, the second specimen cells are qualitatively examined for mucin inclusions, and the third specimen is tested for inclusions of lipids and their derivatives. Malignant degenerative hepatocytes detected in the first specimen within microscopical analysis are attributed to trabecular or cirrotic forms of hepatocellular carcinoma. In case metaplasic tumour cells are found in the first specimen while tumour cells of the second one contain mucin and at the same time intracellular fatty acids are found in the third specimen, hepatocellular adenocarcinoma is diagnosed with cell forms distinguished from cell forms of cholangiocellular cancer or adenocarcinoma metastasis to liver characterised by mucus in cells of the second specimen and no intracellular lipids in the third one. In case the first specimen contains anaplastic cell forms lost hepatocyte features, cells of the second specimen do not contain mucin, and the third specimen is detected with intracellular fatty acid clusters, anaplastic form of hepatocellular cancer is diagnosed with cell forms distinguished from cell forms of cholangiocellular cancer or cancer metastasis to liver characterised by mucus in cells of the second specimen and no intracellular lipids in the third one.
EFFECT: method provides more rapid and cost-saving examination characterised by high accurate of differential diagnostics of hepatocellular cancer distinguished from cholangiocellular cancer or cancer metastasis to liver.
