SUBSTANCE: according to the claimed method, rectified alcohol is produced from brew in a distiller, wherein the energy of the live steam, which heats the epuration and extraction columns operating under pressure above atmospheric, is used three times to heat the brew epuration column, the alcoholic column, the methanol column and the methan concentration column operating at lower pressures. The method also includes additional purifying of the rectified alcohol to eliminate intermediate and tail impurities in the stripping section of the epuration column, more effective extraction of head and intermediate impurities in the stripping section of the epuration column at increased consumption of hydroselection water, additional concentration of the impurities in the upper area of the concentration section of the epuration column, operating with an increased specific consumption of hydroselection water, while the distiller also comprises a methanol concentration column.

EFFECT: invention enables to reduce steam consumption for heating the distiller, to increase the output of the end product and the degree of purification thereof from methanol, acetaldehyde and other head impurities.
