METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF RECTIFIED ALCOHOL Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC C12P7/06 

FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: according to method, rectified alcohol is produced from wash in wash-rectification plant (WRP), at the same time live steam is used to heat cooking (CC), epuration (EC) columns and splitter part of distillate column (DC). Epuration water-alcohol vapour from wash-epuration column (WEC) is used for additional heating of cooking and concentration parts of DC, and also for heating of methanol and head admixtures concentration column (MHACC) and methanol column (MC) that operate under pressure below atmospheric value, and methanol column is also heated by water-alcohol vapour from EC. WEC heating is carried out by water-alcohol vapour from CC, and alcohol column (AC) is heated by water-alcohol vapour from WEC and EC. EC and DC are operated according to method of hydraulic selection. Ethyl alcohol cleaning from tail admixtures is improved by their extraction from cubes, cleaning from head and intermediate admixtures - by extraction of these admixtures concentrates from condensers of EC, DC and decanter. Deep cleaning of finished product from methanol, acetyl aldehyde and other head admixtures is achieved by operation of AC, MC and MHACC under pressure below atmospheric value. In DC and MHACC intermediate fractions are distillated with extraction of concentrate of head and intermediate admixtures from condensers of these columns and return of ethyl alcohol fraction from DC and cube liquid of MHACC into wash.

EFFECT: increased yield of rectified alcohol of improved quality with reduced costs for its production.
