FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method includes determination of responsivity of the horse's body using intradermal introduction of refined turpentine into middle third of the neck in amount of 0.09-0.11 ml. In 96-120 hours adaptation local syndrome is checked according to indicants of local reaction. With skin fold thickening by 10 mm and more and diameter of turgescence reaching 50.1 mm, and with the horse is considered to have unstable results. If there is no reaction the horse is considered to be a highly- promising one related to 2.10 class and more frisky. With the result of reaction gaining intermediate position (skin fold thickening by less than 10 mm and diameter of turgescence not reaching 50 mm), the horse is considered to be the one of little promise, related to 2.19 class and less (on the distance of 1 600 m).

EFFECT: quick testing and objective evaluating of horses during purchase.
