FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: rate and duration of infusion of Mannitolum are defined, proceeding from dynamics of the neurologic status of a patient and results of a computer tomography (expression of focal neurologic semiology, consciousness depression according to the Scale of Comas of Glasgow and dislocation syndrome) taking into account oxygen status condition of brain according to a cerebral oximetry. In the presence of the expressed focal semiology, depression of consciousness of a patient up to 8 points and or lower according to the Scale of Comas of Glasgow and a disposition of median structures according to a computer tomography of 8 mm and more, rate of Mannitolum infusion compoises 50 ml/h. At positive neurologic dynamics, reduction of disorders of consciousness to 9 points, according to the Scale of Comas of Glasgow, or above and dispositions of median structures on KT to 7 mm and less, rate of infusion of Mannitolum decreases to 25 ml/h with the subsequent cancellation.

EFFECT: depression of development of secondary complications probability at treatment of brain edema.
