FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns biotechnology and describes a method for obtaining L-amino acid using coryneformous bacterium involving cultivation of coryneformous bacterium capable of producing L-amino acid in a medium leading to accumulation of L-amino acid in the medium or bacteria cells, and separation of L-amino acid from the medium or bacteria cells. Coryneformous bacterium is modified by introduction of methanoldehydrogenase gene, hexulosophosphatesynthase and phosphohexuloisomerase genes, as well as a gene, which codes the methanoldehydrogenase activisation factor. Thus, the bacteria is enabled to utilise methanol.
EFFECT: obtaining highly active L-amino acids.
