FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to radioactive detection and identification engineering and can be used for registration of gamma rays, charged particles and low-level light quantum flows. The offered spectrometric gamma detector proposed contains one or more arranged scintillators, and high-sensitive (single-photon) avalanche photodiodes arranged in matrix form, divided into groups and supplied with electrical pulse normalisation circuits, and pulse analyser connected to outputs of photosensor. Pulse analyser provides photocurrent pulse advancing from one or another group of photodiodes only in case photocurrent pulses are shaped within preset elementary time period in all photodiodes forming preset combination of photodiodes entering into corresponding group of photodiodes. Range of the said elementary time period, dimension of the said groups and combinations of photodiodes checked for coincidence in each of the groups processed, with determination of appropriated samples of photodiodes forming such a combination are programmed in analyser in current data processing mode which increases with diminishing of current relation of signal quanta average frequency to dark quanta average frequency.
EFFECT: reduced effect of single-photon photosensor pulse dark flow, decreased sensitivity threshold of gamma detector and radioactive imaging without mechanical scanning.
