FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering. The proposed lightning-arrester with accelerated air ionisation around the arrester spearhead is composed of the main ionisation electrode connected in series, via the high-voltage coil and magneto, with the grounding electrode. High-voltage coil (4) is arranged inside the amplifying electrode (3) with its closed upper end face connected to spearhead (2) of main ionisation electrode (1). The space between the said amplifying electrode (3) and high-voltage coil (4) is filled with a solid dielectric (9). The said amplifying electrode is made, preferably, in sheet steel or represents a metal sheet coating.

EFFECT: simpler design, higher reliability and efficiency.
