FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: following risk factors are defined before operation: clinical stage of prostate cancer, degree of malignancy of new growths under the scale of Glison, number positive biopsy columns, level of prostate specific antigene (PSA) in blood plasma, presence of perineural invasion. Then indicator of extraprostatic extension is counted under the formula: D=0.08×T+0.08×G+0.05×B+0.8×PSA+0.9×P where: D is indicator of extraprostatic extension; T is clinical stage of prostate cancer: 1 - T2a, 2 - T2b; G - degree of malignancy of new growths under the scale of Glison: 2-10; B - number of positive biopsy columns: 1-6; PSA-level in blood plasma is more than 10 ng per ml: 0 - no; 1 - yes, P - presence of perineural invasion: 0 - no; 1 - yes and at value D>1.25 extraprostatic extension is predicted.

EFFECT: possibility of forecasting with high accuracy of probability of extraprostatic extension of patients with prostate cancer.
