FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: antenna includes reflector in shape of parabolic cylinder, exciter in form of linear source, two wedge-shaped dielectric inserts positioned symmetrically at the ends of parabolic cylinder. Wedge-shaped dielectric insert surfaces adjoining parabolic cylinder repeat its form, while two other sides are flat, and insert length is 1/3 of parabolic cylinder length. Antenna with dielectric inserts allows obtaining 1.3 degree width of antenna beam, thus expanding antenna beam of measuring radar station with 8 mm central operation wavelength by three times.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of effective object scattering area measurement in millimetre range.
