SUBSTANCE: forming of control signal at moment preceding vibrations transition into sympathetic phase. The moment preceding development of hazardous vibrations is determined from combined or separate occuring of complex of conditions. To them the following can be related: reaching the limit (threshold) values of mean square deviations of maximums of the vibration acceleration signal specter at several stands of the mill, starting from the last stand, and coefficients of correlation of vibration acceleration signals for at minimum in one pair of adjacent stands.

EFFECT: upgraded quality of rolled flats, increased speed of rolling and also reduced rolls wear and stands idle time.
