FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to microwave processing of liquids and can be used for prompt oil emulsion dehydration, which is required by oil companies and MChS (Russian Federation Ministry of Emergencies) during oil spill response, and for aircraft and military equipment. Device consists of microwave processing module containing two multimode spherical waveguides located in parallel and connected to each other by means of a junction, and excited by microwave emitters (magnetrons), each of which is connected to horn-type radiators arranged on waveguides. There is coalescing pipe located inside each waveguide. It is made from radio transparent material and has strips made from corrugated polyethylene or another radio transparent material. Module of coalescing pipes involves steel pipes with heat insulation, which are connected in series via junctions. Strips made from corrugated polyethylene are located inside each pipe. Module of coalescing pipes is connected to microwave processing module through electrically-operated explosion-proof damper.

EFFECT: possible breaking of true oil emulsions formed for example during extended storage of oil and high viscosity emulsions with high resin, asphaltene and paraffin content.
