FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: windmill incorporates working horizontal shaft coupled with the shaft supporting, at least, one auto-rotating rotor and mechanism to apply external forces to the aforesaid rotor in the horizontal shaft axis direction, the aforesaid mechanism being furnished with a feedback circuit designed to maintain a constant external force magnitude with varying external effects onto the said rotor. The rotor is coupled with the working shaft via an auxiliary axle allowing the rotor to deflect towards the working shaft axis and transforming the auto-rotating rotor into a gyro with three degrees of freedom, the aforesaid gyro being intended for precession of the auto-rotating rotor about the working shaft due to drag and gravity.
EFFECT: application of precession gyroscopic forces along with exploiting aerodynamic and gravity forces.
