SUBSTANCE: metallopolymeric current conducting material is used as the base of the detecting element of the composite material of the sensors. The material contains ultra fine nickel particles in a polystyrene matrix, obtained by depositing ultra fine nickel particles by chemical reduction on the surface of polystyrene granules with subsequent hot pressing.

EFFECT: improvement of operating characteristics of sensors; higher detection limit; stable readings; longer continuous use; considerable simplification and cheaper technology of manufacturing.
