FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: cadmium selective electrode has a sensitive element in form of a composite electroconductive material containing ultrafine cadmium particles in a polymer matrix obtained by chemical reduction of cadmium from salt solutions thereof on the surface of granules of a thermoplastic polymer, followed by hot pressing.
EFFECT: reduced cadmium content, high sensitivity, high stability of readings and longer duration of continuous use of the electrode.
