SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to the field of electric engineering and can be used in electrical drives for mechanisms in chemical and metallurgy industries. Method of capacitor braking for considerable quantity of asynchronous motors working independently from each other is realised using resistors and one common for all motors capacitor to which each one of them is connected by means of braking contactor for braking period determined by lag of time relay after expiration of which lag motor is disconnected from the capacitor. Electric connection of braking motors with capacitor battery is interrupted for a short time, then bank capacity is partially discharged and part of residual charge is supplied to motor stator windings, then phase sequence of this battery is changed and motors are connected to it again. Two additional contactors with three closing and opening contacts are introduced into the device to realise this method.
EFFECT: enhancement of deceleration efficiency due to braking conditions improvement and improvement of braking mode energy datum.
