FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: in inert gas atmosphere with fixed pressure, exceeding pressure in triple point of carbon, evaporation of highly-oriented graphite sample within local zone by laser impulse is carried out in such way, that carbon is overheated relative to equilibrium temperature of graphite melting, corresponding to said fixed pressure. Evaporation is carried our through plate of quartz glass, installed with clearance 10-100 mcm relative to sample. Precipitation of obtained vapour is carried out on part of sample, adjacent to local zone. For method realisation device contains located in inert gas atmosphere sample of highly-oriented graphite; located above it quartz plate, impulse laser, which is optically connected with them, pyrometer to register liquid carbon temperature and photodetector to register laser impulse power, as well as device for changing relative position of sample and quartz plate, made in form of cut spring gasket on which nut presses.
EFFECT: increase of continuity and homogeneity of obtained coating with glass-carbon structure.
