FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is method of obtaining 1-(2,3,4-trimethoxybenzyl)piperazine dihydrochloride by reducing amination of 2,3,4-trimethoxybenzaldehide in organic solvent medium with further isolation of reaction product and converting base of -(2,3,4-trimethoxybenzyl)piperazine into dihydrochloride, amination is carried out in presence of reducing agent triacetoxy sodiumborohydride at room temperature, as aminating agent 1-etoxycarbonylpiperazine is used, with further separation from semi-product 1-(2,3,4-trimethoxybenzyl)-4-etoxycarbonylpiperazine of etoxycarbonyl group.
EFFECT: simplification of method, reduction of energy consumption, preserving high yield of target product.
