FIELD: biologically active compounds.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to 2,2'-oxy- and 2.2'-thio-bis(N-(2,3,4-trimethoxybenzyl)ethan-1-amines) of general formula I, where X can be oxygen or sulphur atoms, as well as physiologically acceptable salts of compounds I of general formula I * 2HA (II), where HA are organic and inorganic physiologically acceptable acids. In addition, the invention relates to individual compounds dihydrochloride 2,2'-oxybis(N-(2,3,4-trimethoxybenzyl)ethan-1-amine) (IIa, ALM-863) and dihydrochloride 2,2'-thiobis(N-(2,3,4-trimethoxybenzyl)ethan-1-amine) (IIb, ALM-867), as well as to the method of treating cardiovascular diseases by administering effective amounts of compounds of general formula I or their physiologically acceptable salts.
EFFECT: production of new compounds of general formula I and their salts having cardiotropic activity.
