FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to instrumentation equipment, in particular to optical remote methods of control and is intended for automation of process of dispersed particles dimensions and number measurement in flow mediums, in volumes of technological heat and mass exchange devices, for assessment of quality and efficiency of technological processes. Volume with dispersed particles is probed by beam of low-power laser radiation. Simultaneously to probing laser radiation, investigated volume is exposed to effect of ultrasonic oscillations. Oscillating dispersed particles may be assumed as scatterers with dynamically changing shape of surface. Intensity of light scattered in these particles also experiences temporary oscillations. Using dynamic component of radiation scattered and reflected (at smaller angles relative to direction of distribution) from dispersed particles, their own frequencies of mechanical oscillations are defined, from which particle size is found.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurement information on parameters of dispersed particles for systems gas-liquid and liquid-liquid in technological heat and mass exchange devices.
