FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: method for determining the parameters of suspended particles, whose essence is to measure the movement of particles, that are in the plane of the section, within a fixed interval of time in the measuring plane, "cut out" by a light sheet, in which particles, that are in the measuring plane of the stream, are illuminated at least twice and recorded on a digital camera, and the subsequent image processing makes it possible to calculate the amplitude of the displacement of particles during the time between flashes of the light source and construct a velocity field, and in order to increase the informative nature of the method and the possibility of determining the size, density, and mass of the substance of particles, acoustic radiation of a given frequency and amplitude is additionally directed to the flow, and, additionally, the images of the movement of impurity particles irradiated with acoustic radiation are registered in the plane of the light sheet for at least two periods of sound vibrations, while taking into account the relaxation of particles, and to determine the viscosity of the medium, the flow temperature is measured.
EFFECT: method significantly increases the information content of the data and allows to determine the velocity fields, size, shape, density and mass of suspended particles.
