FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: contactless installation of fibre optic probe working end is carried out with distance between receiving and transmitting fibres of 1 mm perpendicularly to projection of subconjunctival vein located in the area of interest. Spectrophotometry is carried out in visible light, as well as determination of local tissue saturation of haemoglobin with oxygen according to the following formula: 
SO2 - local tissue saturation of haemoglobin with oxygen, cHb - coefficient of deoxygenated haemoglobin concentration, 
- coefficient of oxygenated haemoglobin concentration.
EFFECT: possibility to assess normal condition of bulbar conjunctiva metabolism, pathology as well as pathology in different methods for treatment of front eye segment diseases.
