FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in coherent impulse radiolocation tracking stations for identification of false air target (FT). FT identification task can be solved by two radiolocation stations (RLS), main and additional one, spaced apart, in two stages. Random yaw motion of target in turbulent atmosphere are proposed as target location aspect change factor. First stage involves only main RLS for simplest FT selection. For that purpose reflection property of target is obtained, its irregularity analysed. Reflection property is smoothened in advance to eliminate modulation related to turboprop effect. Weak irregularity indicates presence of FT. Strong irregularity allows for a hypothesis of presence of either real air target or MALD type imitator. Second stage involves comparison of reflection properties of target (RPT) obtained at two RLS spaced apart, for selection of decision. Differing RPT indicate the presence of real target with assurance. Equal RPT indicate the presence of FT with assurance.
EFFECT: possible FT identification in the presence of instable path and turboprop effect.
