FIELD: radar-location.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar-location methods and can be used in coherent pulse radars for tracking targets for inverse synthesising of an antenna aperture, which provides for constructing radar images of targets for their further identification. For the best selection of duration and position of the interval for inverse synthesising, the smoothed out amplitude of the reflective characteristic of the air target should be analysed, formed an excess tracking interval with duration of up to 10 seconds. From the analysis process, the correlation characteristic of the target is obtained, which after smoothing out indicates intervals with maximum and minimum angular velocities of the target relative the radar set. This allows for determining the interval in which flight trajectory instabilities have minimum effect on angular velocity of the target. Analysis is based on that, the total angular velocity of the target is a superposition of its angular velocity due to rectilinear motion ξrec and angular velocity on yaw ξti during flight trajectory instabilities, related to side wind and turbulent atmosphere.
EFFECT: possibility of taking into account the character of flight trajectory instabilities of a target.
