SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to electrical engineering, particularly to conversion technology. Based on voltage Vb and current lb of a battery, the charge condition of the battery is determined. Based on the charge condition, the e.m.f Vbo of the battery calculated. Based on the e.m.f Vbo, of the battery and voltage Vc on a capacitor connected to the output of a DC/DC converter, the fill factor D (=Vbo/2Vc), is assigned, which allows for obtaining maximum power from the battery. The fill factor is assigned in form of the lowest limit DL of the range DR of optimum values of the fill factor such that, in accordance with the charge condition of the battery, the value of the lowest limit DL can be changed. The fill factor D, is limited such that, it lies in the range DR, of optimum values. The DC/DC converter is controlled using the limiting value of the fill factor, D.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of controlling the converter.
