FIELD: medicine; cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: men are examined under standardised cardiologic screening program to evaluate the parameters as follows: age, presence/absence of long standing partner, tobacco smoking behaviour, systolic arterial pressure, diagnosed ischemic heart disease by epidemiological criteria. Derived values of the specified parameters are used to calculate total relative risk factor of ischemic heart disease death. Depending on the calculated factor, men are considered to relate to the category of low, lowered, average or high ischemic heart disease death risk.

EFFECT: method allows for higher accuracy to predict ischemic heart disease death risk in men being residents of moderately urbanised city of Western Siberia, considering wide age range (25-64 years) for long-term period (16.9 years), for separation persons with high death risk, and for well-timed preventive actions among them.
