FIELD: lifting-and-conveying machines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting and conveying machines, particularly to continuous passenger transport and can be used in screw escalators in multi-storey buildings. The proposed screw escalator comprises a central vertical fixed column, two helical guide paths, a drive representing a chain and interconnecting steps of the aforesaid paths. There are an upper and lower sections as well as horizontal upper and lower in and out platforms. On the guide parts outside, the arc-like transportation section is coaxially arranged with additional in and out platforms along with vertical rotation axis driver wheels. One of the additional platforms is located at the arc-like section upper part, right after the upper driver wheel, while the other additional platform is arranged at the arc-like section lower part before the lower driver wheel. Descent is performed on along the transportation section outer side. Note here that there is no idle back travel since escalator works both ways at a time.
EFFECT: compact and simple design.
